A first-pass quote from the drawing. Your estimator sets the price.

Every RFQ waits for the one or two people who can read a drawing and price it, and they’re the same people you need on the floor. Big parts can take days to quote, and the easy jobs wait behind the hard ones.

We set up a tool that reads the drawing, finds similar jobs you’ve done and drafts the quote. Your estimator checks it, fixes what’s off and sets the price.

Quoting help1–2 weeksfrom $3,000

What we do in 1–2 weeks

We build on your own jobs and rates, not on someone else’s averages.

  1. Your past jobsWe gather finished jobs with their drawings, quotes and the hours they really took.
  2. Your rates and rulesMaterial prices, machine rates, minimums and markups go in as rules your estimator can see and change.
  3. Drafts from the drawingFor a new RFQ the tool drafts material, blank size, operations and machine time, and shows the past jobs it used.
  4. Test and hand-overWe run your last 20 quotes through it, show you the numbers and sit with your estimator on live RFQs.

What you get

  • A first-pass quote for each drawing: material, blank size, operations and estimated machine time.
  • The similar past jobs behind each draft, so your estimator sees where every number came from.
  • Your rates and rules in one place, in files you own.
  • A one-page report from the test: minutes per quote before and after, and how close the drafts came.
[Образец: чертёж слева, черновик расчёта справа — материал, заготовка, операции, время станка и похожие прошлые заказы]

How we check it

Before your estimator relies on it, we run your last 20 quotes through it. We compare each draft with the price you sent and, for jobs you won, with the hours the job really took.

  • How close each draft came to your quote.
  • Where it was off, and why.
  • How many minutes your estimator spent per quote, with it and without it.

Your estimator decides whether it’s good enough to use. If it isn’t, you’ll hear it from us first.

What we need from you

The most important input is your estimator’s time. The rest is files you already have.

Access

  • Where your drawings and past quotes live: a shared folder, your ERP or an export from your quoting system.

Files

  • Your last 20 quotes with their drawings.
  • Actual hours for the jobs you won.
  • Current material prices and machine rates.

Your people’s time

  • Owner: about 1 hour to start and 30 minutes for the results.
  • Your estimator: about 4 hours in total, to walk us through quotes and review the test.

What it costs

from $3,0001–2 weeks

A fixed price and a written result.

Included

  • A day at your plant with your estimator.
  • Setup on your past jobs, rates and rules.
  • The test on your last 20 quotes and a one-page report.
  • Training for your estimator.

Billed separately

Usually nothing. If a ready-made quoting tool fits your shop better, we’ll say so, and its maker bills the licence separately.

Questions owners ask

Will it set our prices?

No. It drafts; your estimator sets the price. A quote goes out only when a person sends it.

Where do our customers’ drawings go?

[Заглушка: ответ после решения 14 — какими сервисами обрабатываем документы и где они хранятся.]

What about jobs we’ve never done before?

The draft will be rougher, and it will say so. It shows how close the nearest past job is, so your estimator knows when to trust it and when to start from scratch.

Our job history is a mess. Is that enough?

Most shops’ history is. We start with what you have, even quotes in spreadsheets and hours on paper, and the test shows whether it’s enough.

Tell us who prices your RFQs.

20 minutes, no pitch deck. Tell us how many RFQs you get and who quotes them, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a first draft would help.

We come to your plant: Sacramento, the Bay Area, Napa and Sonoma, Reno.
